How to make the most of your first studio session

The BEAZY TeamMonday, June 15, 20264 min read

Your first time on a professional mic should feel like a step up, not a test. A little preparation goes a long way. Here is how to walk in ready and walk out with something you are proud of.

Come in with your song, not just an idea

Know your structure before you arrive: verses, hook, ad-libs, where the energy lifts. Studio time moves fast. The more decisions you have already made, the more time you spend actually recording.

Bring your reference and your beats

Have your instrumental ready as a clean, high-quality file, and bring a reference track that captures the vibe you are chasing. It gives everyone in the room a shared target for the sound.

Warm up your voice

Your voice is the instrument. Hydrate, warm up on the way over, and give yourself a few takes to settle in. The first take is rarely the one. That is normal.

Decide what you actually need

  • Just the room and your own gear? Book Self-Recording access.
  • Want an engineer, vocal coaching and a mixed, finished track? Book a full-service Studio Session.
  • Ready to release and build the project? Artist Development adds mastering and a release package.
The best sessions are the ones where you stop thinking about the mic and start performing.

When you are ready, send us your date and package through the booking form or message us on LINE and we will lock it in directly.
